Several years ago we acquired Nadira Fujai to add some “older” Egyptian breeding to our herd. Sired by 1969 US National Reserve Champion Futurity Stallion and Egyptian icon Shaikh al Badi and out of a Mohssen daughter, Nadira was a delightful matron that was the epitome of wisdom, kindness, and courage. We regret that she was lost shortly after giving birth to perhaps her greatest achievement, a 2006 colt sired by Ansata Sinan. Intensely Nazeer-bred, Nadira had a quality about her seldom seen. We will always remember that over-the-top tail, wonderfully broad back, and the way she purred and puffed as she stepped smartly along when ridden. She is buried here on the farm under a glorious old dogwood tree. Rest well, mother. |
