ABOUT THE EGYPTIAN
ARABIAN HORSE
Egyptian Arabian horses are the
living legacy of thousands of years of careful breeding,
first by the Bedouins struggling within their harsh,
survivalist lifestyle, and then by the ruling families
of Egypt, who combed through the herds of these desert
tribes and hand-picked the finest. This precious collection
of the most beautiful horses of Arabia is said to have
numbered a mere 1,100 and is the sole genetic base of
the modern-day Egyptian Arabian horse. Although the “Arabian” horse
is known worldwide, only a few of this purest form of
the Arabian, the Egyptian Arabian, still exist today.
Representing less then 3% of the total Arabian population,
the Egyptian is a rare and sought-after fountainhead
of strength, intelligence, and type. So extreme is its
beauty that it can be described in appearance as somewhere
between horse and gazelle. |
